A Message from the Scoutmaster

Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to the development of a sense of community awareness, leadership skills, emotional strength, morality, and physical fitness in its members. As Scoutmaster for Troop 707, I am seeking to work toward these same goals. Our troop is “boy run” and emphasizes the use of the “Patrol Method” in running the troop, allowing the scouts themselves to organize and plan events. I feel that the boys will learn much quicker by doing it themselves. The adult leadership in the troop is simply there to help guide them. My goals as Scoutmaster are to keep the boys interested in scouting and help them grow into responsible young men.

We would like to welcome you and your son to come and visit Troop 707. You can see first hand how our troop operates and meet our scouts and parents. Please feel free to contact me to set up a visit or if you have any questions. Thank you for looking into our troop.
